  • Make internal and external presentations as necessary to communicate portfolio performance to peers, producers, and leadership as necessary.
  • Provide direction and support to associate underwriters as a coach/mentor or trainer and/or provide peer review.

Position Summary:

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Underwriter, specializing in Medical Malpractice, Healthcare Professional Liability, and General Liability for miscellaneous medical facilities (primary and excess), physicians and physician groups. Working both independently and part of a team to successfully manage their assigned book of business along with contributing to the overall profitability of the Healthcare Solutions business portfolio. This individual must be able to illustrate sufficient technical analysis, have a strong underwriting acumen combined with the necessary sales and marketing skills to achieve profitable growth targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details.

  • Self-starter with strong drive to succeed.

  • Ability to carry out assignments within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practices.

Compensation & Benefits

The applicable base salary for this opportunity is $110,000 - $145,000.  The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.  In addition to the base salary, this opportunity may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
