Position: Senior UX Designer, Data Platforms 

 

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716 

 

Duties: Act as the central UX partner for product managers by translating ambiguous data and AI requirements into structured user problems, success criteria, and interaction models. Work closely with engineering teams to align UX designs with backend services, APIs, automation pipelines, and system constraints, ensuring feasibility without compromising usability. Partner with data governance, compliance, and legal stakeholders to embed regulatory requirements, audit needs, and policy constraints directly into user workflows. Review and interpret product requirement documents, technical designs, and architectural decisions to proactively identify UX risks in complex data and AI systems. Produce detailed UX specifications, interaction contracts, and documentation that reduce implementation of ambiguity and support long-term system evolution. Design and produce product-specific enablement assets, including in-product guidance, walkthroughs, and instructional visuals, as well as how-to and demo videos, to help users understand complex data and AI workflows and successfully adopt new features. Lead accessibility for data-heavy and AI-driven interfaces by ensuring complex tables, dashboards, and workflows are usable with assistive technologies and compliant with accessibility standards. Conduct UX quality assurance on data- and AI-intensive features, validating edge cases, error handling, empty states, and system feedback across multiple scenarios. Design experiences that explicitly support auditability and traceability, enabling governance teams to review how data classifications, model decisions, and changes were made over time. Continuously evaluate real-world usage patterns and stakeholder feedback to improve clarity, trust, and adoption of data and AI platforms. Advance UX maturity within the data and AI domain by introducing design patterns that improve explainability, transparency, and trust in automated systems. Influence product and platform strategy by identifying UX-led opportunities to reduce manual governance effort, operational friction, and user dependency on support teams. Establish shared UX standards, terminology, and interaction patterns across multiple data and AI products to create a cohesive enterprise experience. Mentor cross-functional partners and designers by sharing best practices for designing complex, system-driven experiences in regulated environments. Adapt to evolving team needs by supporting adjacent responsibilities such as design validation, release readiness, workflow testing, or sprint facilitation to ensure successful delivery of data and AI initiatives. 

 

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Industrial Design,  UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Industrial Design,  UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience in UI/UX, Interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related experience. 

 

Skills required: Must have experience with: Conducting UX research methodologies with a focus on usability testing, as well as other research methods such as interviews, surveys, card sorting, and heuristic evaluations using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Google Forms and Miro; Facilitating workshops such as brainstorming and user journey mapping sessions, ideation workshops, and design workshops using collaboration tools like Miro or Figjam; Creating detailed design documentation using tools like Adobe XD and Figma; Gathering requirements using collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello and Azure; Serving as a project manager or scrum master, and utilizing agile training to ensure efficient team coordination; Documenting identified bugs using issue tracking tools like JIRA; Leading accessibility initiatives with knowledge of WCAG guidelines and standards; Developing digital marketing content using Adobe Creative Suite or iMovie; Making information architecture to enhance user flows and user journeys using tools like MS Visio, Figma, or Miro; Designing accessible data visualizations and dashboards using Figma; and Designing and maintaining design systems using Figma to ensure consistency across the suite of products which, meeting design and brand guidelines. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or experience with the required skills. 

 Rate of pay: $90,000.00 - 180,000.00/year
