Service Engineer or Technician (m/f/d) for spectroscopy products (UV–Vis-NIR, FTIR, RF, Raman) in full time (37,5 hours/week) to join our European Headquarters in Duisburg.

 Due to the retirement of a colleague, we are looking for a

 Service Engineer or Technician (m/f/d) for spectroscopy products (UV–Vis-NIR, FTIR, RF, Raman) in full time (37,5 hours/week) to join our European Headquarters in Duisburg.

• You will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to Shimadzu’s service engineers regarding spectroscopy products, via phone, email, or remote support
• Your responsibilities will include training these service technicians, typically at the training center in Duisburg, as well as creating digital training content for our internal e-learning platform
• Your responsibilities will also include the installation, maintenance, repair, and demonstration of equipment at our company and at end-customer sites across Europe. Travel should not exceed 20% on average
• You will act as a contact person for Shimadzu Corporation, headquartered in Japan, acting as the liaison to local service technicians. In this role, you will ensure smooth communication and reporting regarding the products under your responsibility.

• You hold a master's or bachelor's degree in electronics, chemistry, physics, or a related field, or possess equivalent qualifications
• You have already gained professional experience in technical service or chemical analysis in the field of molecular spectroscopy (UV/Vis/NIR spectrophotometer, FTIR spectrometer, FTIR-Raman microscope, fluorescence spectrometer)
• You have a very good command of written and spoken English and a good knowledge of German or the willingness to learn the German language
• You are proficient in Windows OS and MS Office applications
• You are capable of working independently and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You possess strong communication skills, professional demeanor and self-confidence
• You are highly flexible and willing to travel
• You have a class B driver's license
