About the Team

This position is part of the ZF ADAS & HPC business unit known internally as "Capri." This business unit is planned for divestiture to Harman International, a Samsung company and global innovator in automotive technology, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter in the ADAS space.

 

 

 

What you can look forward to as Senior Commodity Buyer:

 

• Responsible for the strategic sourcing of semiconductor components.
• Align and present the sourcing recommendations under the guidance and lead of Commodity Manager
• Present once a year Part Family Strategy for assigned segment of commodity to SDB (sourcing decision board)
• Maintain the Purchasing systems: MAPS (savings report), SWAT (sourcing pipeline), Supply On, COPS (issuing and maintenance of PO’s)
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers
• Drive intelligent cost deep dive analyses with assigned cost engineer
• Support VA/VE activities with supplier (technology change, generation change etc.)
• Be the assigned supplier champion for selected companie

 

 

Your Profile as Senior Commodity Buyer:

 

• Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering (Electronic, Electrical), or related field
• 8+ years of experience in Purchasing for production components, specially for Electrical, Electronic Commodities desirable
• Ability to manage purchasing projects (sourcing, benchmarking, negotiations)
• Accuracy in terms of the numbers and Good communication (verbal and in writing)
• Understanding of automotive processes (CV, DV, PV, PPAP)
• Excellent presentation skills
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Capable and interest in working in global environment
