What you'll do

  • Lead Process operations during the shift to deliver the production plan while achieving Safety, Quality, Service, and People objectives.
  • Manage daily shopfloor activities, ensuring manpower allocation, resource availability, shift readiness, and coordination of AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities.
  • Ensure raw materials, equipment, utilities, documentation, and production areas are ready for compliant and efficient execution of manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee process activities including start-up, shutdown, changeovers, cleaning, sanitization, and batch execution in line with GMP, SOPs, and validated process requirements.
  • Monitor key performance metrics such as OEE, yield, throughput, waste, downtime, equipment performance, and schedule adherence, taking timely corrective actions to address gaps.
  • Lead resolution of safety, quality, equipment, and material-related issues, supporting investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA, risk assessments, and escalation management.
  • Coach and develop Process Technician Associates through training, performance feedback, multi-skilling, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply teams to support equipment reliability, commissioning, validation, operational readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive HAPS, AM/PM, 5S, visual management, equipment care, waste reduction, and loss elimination activities to improve operational performance.
  • Maintain an audit-ready, safe, compliant, and inspection-ready manufacturing environment while supporting internal and external audits.

About the Role

The Shift Leader - Packaging Area is accountable for safe, compliant and efficient packaging execution during the assigned shift and provides frontline leadership to Packaging Associates and other Packaging team members.

The role leads daily packaging-plan delivery, GMP and EHS compliance, line performance, shift coordination, people deployment, capability building and continuous improvement across assigned packaging lines.

The incumbent partners with Process, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse and HAPS teams to deliver right-first-time packaging, reliable supply and effective resolution of operational issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Process operations during the shift to deliver the production plan while achieving Safety, Quality, Service, and People objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Process equipment, systems, material flow and line operations.
  • GMP, line clearance, coding and labelling controls, reconciliation, batch documentation and data integrity.
  • Production planning, shift execution, OEE, throughput, changeovers, rejects and waste.
  • First-line troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and CAPA support.
  • DDS/DMS, HAPS, 5S, visual management and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MES, OEE systems, Power BI or related manufacturing systems is desirable.
