About this role

The Role

As a manager at Rips By Triumph, you'll lead a shift team of Operations Associates at our fast-growing graded trading card business. You'll own the operational quality of every card that moves through us, from receipt through shipment, and the team that handles it.

You'll set the pace and the standard for your shift. You'll delegate tasks, manage scheduling, and serve as the exclusive handler of our highest-value inventory. You'll also be the primary point of contact for the suppliers who keep our operation running.

This is a hands-on role. The right manager has a strong working understanding of our daily operations, including the workflows, the rhythm of each shift, and the tools that keep things moving, and can step in or coach on any task on the floor.

What You'll Do

  • Delegate clear, specific tasks to each associate at the start of every shift, based on their experience and training progress.

  • Manage all associate scheduling in Rippling, including weekly schedules, time off, sick callouts, shift swaps, and vacation requests, with all changes reflected before the affected shift begins.

  • Serve as the exclusive handler of our highest-value inventory, including safe access, inspection before and after handling, and full logging of every transaction.

  • Track supply levels (sleeves, cases, shipping materials, cleaning supplies) and reorder proactively to prevent shortages from disrupting operations.

  • Audit singles and slab inventory regularly, flag and document discrepancies immediately, and coordinate restocking as needed.

  • Build and maintain supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing, confirm orders accurately, and resolve issues promptly.

  • Train, coach, and develop associates by providing clear instructions, positive reinforcement, and constructive feedback regularly.

  • Enforce workspace cleanliness and organization at all times, ensuring each shift leaves a clean handoff for the next team.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of shift lead, team lead, or supervisor experience in operations, warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or similar high-performance environment.

  • Strong delegation and organizational skills. You can run a shift without losing track of who's doing what.

  • Strong attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and consistency even under time pressure.

  • Comfort working across multiple systems simultaneously (scheduling software, inventory tools).

  • Trustworthy and reliable. You'll have exclusive access to our most valuable inventory.

  • Strong written and verbal communication. Clear with associates, professional with vendors.

  • Scrappy, resourceful, and a strong work ethic. You're willing to do whatever it takes and take pride in your work.

  • Availability to work a full time 40-hour weekly schedule.

  • Employment for this position may be contingent upon a background check. With your written authorization, we may obtain reports regarding your employment, education, and, where job-related, criminal history.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with trading card games, sports cards, or graded collectibles.

  • Experience with Rippling or similar HR / scheduling platforms.

  • Warehouse, fulfillment, or 3PL exposure.

  • Familiarity with PSA grading standards or the trading card market.
