What you'll do

  • Respond to day-to-day questions from the sales team, turning business needs into focused analyses and actionable insights.
  • Analyze shopper, consumer, category, product, and purchase-basket behavior using syndicated, panel, point-of-sale, survey, and other data sources.
  • Use tools and platforms such as Scintilla/Luminate, Numerator, Nielsen, and comparable data or survey systems.
  • Investigate how shopping behavior differs across channels or occasions.
  • Build concise, compelling presentations and quick-turn analyses for sales partners, merchants, General Mills stakeholders, line reviews, innovation reviews, and other customer engagements.
  • Support innovation and concept learning by programming or analyzing surveys, including purchase intent, substitution, complementarity, and shopper response questions.
  • Partner with Insights counterparts to develop and share insights across products, brands, categories, and strategies.
  • Participate in broader Shopper Insights projects that explore topics such as value perceptions, economic and macro trends, nutrition-related shifts, and changing household shopping behavior.
  • Translate complex data into a clear “so what,” prioritizing the information most useful for the audience and decision at hand.
  • Build strong relationships in a matrixed organization and participate actively in team meetings, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.

As a Shopper Insights Analyst, you’ll help drive growth with Walmart, one of General Mills’ most important retail customers. You’ll be embedded with our sales organization and serve as a bridge between shopper insights and sales, helping partners understand what shoppers are doing, why behaviors are changing, and where new opportunities exist.

You’ll support the Big G Cereal and Dry Baking businesses while working across brands, categories, and business questions. Your work will combine syndicated data, panel data, survey research, and other quantitative and qualitative inputs to create clear insights stories that keep the shopper, consumer, customer, and business at the center of decisions.

Additional Considerations

  • This role is located at the Bentonville, AR Walmart Business Center. Relocation assistance will be provided if you are not local to the area.

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this position is:

$71,300 - $118,900 Annual
