About this role
Your new company
A growing and well-established construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on large-scale residential developments in Cork. With a strong pipeline of projects underway and planned, this is an opportunity to work on significant housing developments involving substantial infrastructure, drainage and utility works from the ground up.
Your new role
As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of residential construction projects, ensuring works are carried out safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements. You will be heavily involved in setting out, drainage installation and infrastructure works while supporting site management throughout the project life cycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out setting-out and surveying works using GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Managing drainage and infrastructure works in accordance with Irish Water standards and specifications.
- Monitoring construction activities to ensure quality and compliance with design drawings.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to the programme.
- Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
- Assisting with quality control inspections and snagging processes.
- Liaising with site management, design teams and utility providers.
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer within the Irish construction industry.
- Strong residential construction experience.
- Proven experience delivering drainage and infrastructure works.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish Water standards and specifications.
- Strong setting out experience using modern surveying equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant Engineering qualification.
- Full driving licence.
