Frencken Mechatronics is engaged in the development and assembly of industrial systems for the semiconductor industry, the healthcare market, and a wide range of analytical applications. High-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.

Key duties & Responsibilities:

As Site lean deployment leader, you support the management team to drive the operational transformation. Shortly, this means:

  • Develop and execute the site's Lean transformation roadmap.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Coach leaders and teams in Lean thinking, problem solving, and change management.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects and facilitate workshops.
  • Identify and eliminate operational waste through data-driven analysis.
  • Standardize and optimize processes to improve operational performance.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Support leadership teams with performance management and daily management systems.

Analytical skills & Critical thinking:

  • Identify and eliminate operational waste using lean operating tools (VSM, Heijunka, SMED..)
  • Drive improvements across PSQDC based on data analysis
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, A3 and Root Cause Analysis to address operational challenges”
  • Use KPI's and data to monitor progress and waste

    • Has the ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently
    • Negotiation skills and persuasive
    • A natural coach who enjoys developing people and teams.
    • An effective change agent who can influence without formal authority.
    • Analytical, pragmatic, and results oriented.

  • Collaboration
    • Work in cross-functional teams, create synergy between those team members and align improvements with both engineering and business needs
  • Abstract thinking:
    • Goal is to standardize and solve the hiccups within the process and not bend the process towards the product project goals

Continuous Improvement:

  • Played a key role in implementing operating models in different organizations (department)
  • Facilitate workshops and active coaching on the floor
  • 3+ years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience applying Lean and problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, A3, and Value Stream Mapping.

  • Waste reduction
  • Improvements
  • Cost: Uptime / productivity
  • Safety / Quality / Deliveries / Cost: Continuous improvement initiatives

Background:

  • Completed (minimum) a relevant HBO education, preferably in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Experience in lean transformation and successful implementations with proven results  
  • Proficient in English, spoken and written and Dutch is an advantage.
