About this role

Emtec Utility Services is helping drive the transition to a more sustainable future by delivering innovative engineering solutions across the energy sector. From renewable energy infrastructure to grid-scale developments, our teams are building the foundations for tomorrow’s energy systems.

With an impressive pipeline of work and ambitious plans for growth, we’re looking for experienced Site Managers to join our team and support projects across the UK. Flexibility to travel and work away when required is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied range of projects while gaining exposure to new and developing technologies across the renewables, utilities and infrastructure sectors.

The Role

As a Site Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the safe and successful day-to-day delivery of electrical and civil works on site.

You’ll coordinate teams and subcontractors, manage site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality standards and project specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of electrical and civil works.

  • Leading site teams and coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensuring all work complies with HSEQ requirements and project specifications.

  • Managing site logistics, materials, resources and workforce requirements.

  • Monitoring progress and reporting against key project milestones.

  • Identifying and resolving technical or operational issues on site.

  • Maintaining accurate site records, reports and project documentation.

  • Working closely with Project Managers and wider delivery teams to keep projects moving.

  • Promoting a positive, safety-first culture across the site.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven site management experience, ideally within energy, utilities or infrastructure, although experience from other relevant sectors is welcomed.

  • Strong knowledge of groundworks, concrete structures, drainage and enabling works.

  • Experience in renewable energy, power distribution or the delivery of ICP work packages would be advantageous.

  • Strong leadership skills and the confidence to manage site teams and subcontractors.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

  • An HNC, HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.

  • Current SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

What’s In It for You

  • Attractive Salary Package: Based on your skills and experience. We would also consider someone on a contract basis.

  • Generous Holidays: 33 days’ holiday, inclusive of public holidays, increasing with length of service.

  • Holiday Purchase/Sell Scheme: Additional flexibility to suit your needs.

  • Contributory Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our contributory pension plan.

  • Life Assurance: Peace of mind for you and your family.

  • Development Opportunities: Excellent training and support for career growth.

  • Wellness Support: Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and wellness portal.

  • Exclusive Discounts: Benefit from our Employee Discounts Platform.

You’ll be joining a genuinely supportive and down-to-earth team, with the opportunity to contribute to exciting infrastructure projects as the business continues to grow.

Emtec Group is an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, we’d love to hear from you.
