We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager - Solar to join the team and take responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of projects on site, from construction through to commissioning.
The Role
As a Site Manager – Solar, you’ll take the lead on day-to-day site activity, coordinating contractors, monitoring progress and making sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
This is a site-based position supporting projects across the UK, so flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required will be an important part of the role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing day-to-day construction activities across renewable energy projects.
Coordinating subcontractors and contractors to keep works on programme.
Monitoring site safety, quality and progress and resolving issues as they arise.
Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, RAMS and company Health & Safety procedures.
Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety checks.
Working closely with project, engineering and commercial teams throughout delivery.
Liaising with clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
Supporting quality assurance, commissioning and project handover.
Providing regular updates on progress, risks and site performance.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
Strong Site Management experience within construction, energy or infrastructure projects.
Experience working on solar PV, BESS, grid infrastructure or similar energy projects would be a real advantage.
A good working knowledge of CDM 2015 and site Health & Safety requirements.
SMSTS and a relevant CSCS card.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the confidence to manage contractors and site teams.
A practical, organised and solutions-focused approach.
Flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
