Skilled Laborer - Primoris Heavy Civil - Golden Meadow, LA

Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

* Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and select appropriate materials.
* Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
* Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, and trim.
* Assemble and fasten material together to construct forms for pouring concrete, stairs, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
* Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
* Work collaboratively with other trades and team members on the job site.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in heavy civil construction or a related field.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
* Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install various materials.
* Familiarity with safety procedures and the ability to work safely at all times.
* Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license preferred.
