NATIONAL MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON – OBESITY

What you will do

In this vital role you will drive medical and scientific excellence within the Obesity Therapeutic Area, providing expert leadership to support clinical development, scientific engagement, and the execution of medical strategy.

You will build trusted relationships with external experts and collaborate across functions to advance clinical research and improve patient outcomes.

  • Support clinical trial start-up, site selection, enrollment, retention, execution, and close-out through scientific and medical expertise.
  • Identify, map, and engage KOLs, investigators, clinical leaders, research centers, and other relevant external stakeholders.
  • Lead peer-to-peer scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, medical societies, and patient organizations, gathering and communicating actionable scientific insights.
  • Provide scientific guidance and training to investigators, site staff, clinical teams, and colleagues, helping resolve medical and trial-related challenges.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Medical, Access, regional teams, and other functions to align clinical, medical, and pre-launch priorities.
  • Contribute scientific and clinical insights to local product and therapeutic-area strategy.
  • Mentor colleagues and provide leadership in scientific engagement and execution.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. What we seek in you as an experienced  professional, are these qualifications and skills:

  • Scientific degree with relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong clinical trial expertise, particularly in study start-up and recruitment, with knowledge of GCP and local regulations.
  • Strong scientific acumen with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly.
  • Proven ability to engage KOLs, investigators, and other stakeholders and lead impactful scientific discussions.
  • Experience in metabolic diseases, particularly obesity and/or diabetes, preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills, with a proactive and independent approach.
