About this role

The Social Media Manager will lead the development and execution of Girls Who Code’s social media strategy to grow brand awareness, deepen audience engagement, and build the brand’s thought leadership across digital platforms. This role will also include the management of the CEO’s brand and thought leadership presence online. This role requires a strategic and creative manager who can translate organizational priorities into compelling social content, drive performance through data-informed decision-making, and identify new opportunities to engage and inspire our audiences.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, the Social Media Manager will oversee Girls Who Code’s social media presence and serve as the organization’s primary subject matter expert on social media strategy, content, trends, and platform innovation. They must possess the ability to rapidly translate breaking news, public events, and emerging conversations into timely, mission-aligned social content that engages audiences and advances organizational goals. The Social Media Manager will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to elevate Girls Who Code’s mission and impact through thoughtful storytelling and community engagement.
