What you'll do

  • Support the planning, creation and publishing of content across all social media channels, in line with Williams’ overarching social and content strategy and content pillars.
  • Provide experienced support to channel strategy, audience growth planning and fan engagement frameworks, with a clear understanding of how social drives brand value and revenue for the team.
  • Demonstrate a fluent understanding of fans, brand and revenue as interconnected levers: how fan-first content builds reach and loyalty, how brand standards protect equity, and how both translate into commercial value for partners.
  • Provide commercial and creative social expertise to Williams’ Partners , attending partner meetings with an agency mindset, proactively pitching new ideas when relevant and ways to elevate campaigns beyond the brief.
  • Champion rigorous quality control on every asset before publish, following Williams’ social content proofing process in full, checking partner logos, spelling, grammar, channel specifics, rights and brand compliance.
  • Own the partner check within the proofing flow: confirming contractual obligations, logo accuracy, Partner Manager approval and performance-metric logging for every partner asset.
  • Act as brand guardian for social, ensuring every post reflects Williams’ narrative, tone and audience targeting, and meets Brand quality guidelines ahead of sign-off.
  • Set an exceptionally high bar for creative and visual quality across every post, holding the wider content team to the same standard.
  • Bring deep expertise in both organic and paid social best practice, using paid media to extend reach and performance of organic content and partner campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Fan Engagement team to use data and insight to inform creative decisions and to document the commercial value of content to partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Communications, Partnerships and wider Marketing teams to develop content that meets brand and business objectives.

Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. Its roll call of drivers is legendary, with its seven Drivers’ Championship trophies being lifted by true icons of the sport: Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. Job Description

The Social Media Manager provides key support to the Senior Channel Manager and operates at the inter-section of fans, brand and revenue. They are responsible for the quality, creative ambition and commercial value of the team's social publishing with a clear understanding of how great content grows fanbases, builds brand equity and drives commercial returns for Williams.
