Software Development Engineer - Mainframe Batch Support-1

       

• Strong knowledge and experience of CA-7, OPC/TWS/IZWS along with other Mainframe monitoring tools. 
• Sound experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 & CA-7 is mandatory.
  Excellent understanding of Mainframe Batch Processes, Batch Monitoring, SLA Management & experience in handling critical production issues.
• Experience in monitoring batch jobs, critical streams, SLA adherence, fixing Mainframe Batch job abends, Identifying and troubleshooting late jobs, streams, escalating critical issues, leading and representing your team critical incident calls is expected from this role.
• Experience supporting in a 24x7 model is mandatory.
• Good experience in Analyzing, fixing, escalating critical batch abends.
• Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, Coding, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation, and documentation.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while participating in team collaboration
• Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to support 24x7 on call rotation.
• Ability to learn new programing languages as necessary.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing team environment
• This position may involve periodic weekend support to ensure operational continuity and successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary is expected.
• The position may be based out of Hyd or BLR. At any point, You may be asked to work from any of these 2 locations either for training or as permanent work location.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.
