YOUR ROLE

As a SWDL/OTA Software Architect, you will define and drive end-to-end Software Download (SWDL) and Over-the-Air (OTA) update architectures across vehicle ECUs and connected platforms. You will own the design of robust, secure, diagnosable, recoverable, and production-ready software update solutions while collaborating with global cross-functional teams to enable next-generation connected vehicle capabilities.

· Define and architect end-to-end SWDL/OTA solutions, including bootloader, update client, package management, installation, activation, rollback, and recovery mechanisms.
· Lead architecture design for automotive software updates using UDS, DoIP, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and vehicle diagnostic interfaces.
· Drive integration and verification of software download frameworks across AUTOSAR-based ECU platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
· Define secure update strategies leveraging HSM, secure boot, cryptographic signing, verification, key management, and cybersecurity best practices.
· Collaborate with platform, application, cybersecurity, functional safety, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure production readiness and successful deployment.

YOUR BACKGROUND

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
· 8 to 14+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development, with strong expertise in Software Download (SWDL) and OTA/FOTA architectures.
· Hands-on experience with Bootloader development, Embedded C, AUTOSAR, MCAL, device drivers, CAN, UDS, DoIP, and ECU flashing concepts.
· Strong knowledge of automotive cybersecurity concepts including HSM, secure boot, cryptographic signing, verification, rollback protection, and key management.
· Experience with Vector tools (DaVinci, CANoe), Trace32 Lauterbach, Infineon AURIX, NXP microcontrollers, ASPICE, and embedded software architecture.
· Exposure to OTA campaign management, UNECE R156, ISO 24089, cloud-based OTA solutions, and multi-ECU update orchestration is highly desirable.
· Experience working on OEM programs such as Ford, Stellantis, or other global automotive platforms is a strong advantage.
