Software Engineer – C#/.NET

CompuStaff is recruiting a Senior .NET Developer on behalf of a leading global SaaS company with a growing R&D centre in Galway.

The company provides SaaS platforms, payments solutions, digital engagement tools and other technology solutions used by more than 95,000 organisations worldwide. Its Galway R&D centre is also a global AI R&D hub, currently undergoing significant expansion as the business moves towards an AI-native product portfolio.

The Role

You’ll join an experienced, cross-functional Scrum team developing and enhancing modern cloud-based SaaS applications. The role is genuinely full-stack, giving you the opportunity to work across UI, APIs, backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure and deployment.

You’ll have a strong voice in technical decisions, solution design and architecture while working closely with Product, UX and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software across the full technology stack.
• Develop applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET and Entity Framework.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and web services.
• Work with SQL Server / Azure SQL and relational databases.
• Develop and deploy applications in a cloud-native Azure environment.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps and Agile development practices.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, estimation and architecture discussions.
• Help improve application performance, reliability, code quality and development processes.
• Work collaboratively within a Scrum team to deliver new product features end-to-end.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years' commercial software development experience, ideally in a full-stack environment.
• Strong C# and .NET / .NET Core development experience.
• Experience with ASP.NET and Entity Framework / EF Core.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, particularly SQL Server or Azure SQL.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with PHP or Python would be an advantage, but is not essential.
