Software Engineer Intern

The Commerce Applications Intern position is responsible for assisting in the administration, support, and enhancement of E-Commerce platforms and related business applications. The individual in this position will gain hands-on experience with SAP Hybris application, NextJS Typescript based applications and supporting business systems while collaborating with product owners, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders. This role requires data migration, Typescript coding and participating in Agile development process.

What You Will Do:

E-Commerce Enhancements & Support

• Assist with enhancement requests and new feature requests for Graco’s enterprise E-Commerce platform.
• Support testing and validation of E-Commerce enhancements, new features, and business process changes.
• Help with ongoing monitoring, migration, and cleanup activities.
• Participate in documenting business processes, application configurations, and deployment processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting with incidents and reach out to right team members to resolve the issues in the timely manner.

E-Commerce platform

• Build and maintain E-Commerce application in AWS platform.
• Assist with analysis of incidents, defects and data migration.
• Perform stress testing and identify performance improvements that includes caching.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks.

What You Will Bring:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Programming, or a related field.
• Interest in learning E-Commerce systems, Database, Typescript programming and testing web applications.
• Foundational understanding of programming, application servers, databases, AWS cloud, and SDLC.
• Experience working with structured data and performing data cleansing or transformation activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Accelerators:

• Exposure to Typescript programming, Tailwind, HTML, and Javascript.
• Knowledge on Github or other alternative code repositories.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines with test automation.
• Experience working with APIs, Webhooks, and Messaging systems.
• Participation in Agile project teams or software development environments.
• Experience with Relational databases like MySQL.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
