Roles & Responsibilities
- You will be working with modern web technologies across the full stack, including Typescript, Node.js/NestJS, React.js/Next.js, Python frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and GenAI-powered tooling.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and services spanning frontend, backend, and database layers.
- Develop and integrate GraphQL and REST APIs to support performant, maintainable applications.
- Architect and develop features that leverage GenAI capabilities to enhance product functionality and user experience.
- Key technologies this role will employ: Node.js, NestJS, React.js, Next.js, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Redis/RabbitMQ, AWS, and DevOps tooling.
- You are an experienced and mature engineer who wants to build incredible products while contributing to architecture, tooling, and process decisions for the team.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ship end-to-end features.
- Review code, mentor junior team members, and help maintain engineering best practices.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Development with a strong focus on full-stack web development.
- Proficient in the MERN stack — Node.js/NestJS, React.js/Next.js, MongoDB — with production experience.
- Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Working experience with Python and at least one web framework — Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with caching/queuing services such as Redis or RabbitMQ.
- Exposure to GenAI tools, APIs, or frameworks (e.g., OpenAI/LLM integrations, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines) and interest in applying them to product development.
- Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) and basic DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, deployment pipelines).
- Proficient in algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles.
- Ability to operationalize code with proper logging, monitoring, error handling, and testing.
- Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development lifecycles.
- You're willing to learn new technologies and frameworks as the ecosystem evolves.
- Communication: You like discussing a plan upfront, welcome collaboration, and are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Bonus points if you...
- Have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures.
- Have built or fine-tuned GenAI/LLM-based features in production (chatbots, copilots, RAG systems, agentic workflows).
- Have experience with WebSockets or real-time data pipelines.
- Have contributed to open-source projects.
- Have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Have worked in a startup or fast-paced product environment handling end-to-end ownership of features.
