Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions across our digital platforms. This role will provide architectural leadership across multiple products and engineering teams, ensuring that solutions align with enterprise standards, business objectives, and long-term technology strategy.

What you will do

Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end technical solutions that are scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable.

• Translate business and functional requirements into solution architectures and technical specifications.

• Define application, integration, data, and deployment architectures.

• Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend the most appropriate technology approach.

• Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards and long-term technology strategy.

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.

• Review solution designs, code, and technical decisions to ensure consistency and quality.

• Mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers on architecture principles and best practices.

• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and cloud-native architecture patterns.

• Promote reusable frameworks, shared services, and platform capabilities.

Cloud Architecture

• Design cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.

• Define scalable deployment architectures using containers and Kubernetes where appropriate.

• Ensure solutions are secure, highly available, observable, and cost optimized.

• Guide engineering teams on cloud architecture, networking, security, and operational best practices.

Application Architecture

Provide architectural leadership for applications built using:

• C#

• .NET / ASP.NET Core

• ReactJS

• REST APIs

• Microservices

• Event-driven architectures

• Messaging platforms

• Distributed systems

Integration & API Design

• Design secure and scalable API-first solutions.

• Define integration strategies for internal and external systems.

• Establish API governance, versioning, authentication, and documentation standards.

• Review messaging and asynchronous communication patterns.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure architecture follows secure-by-design principles.

• Incorporate authentication, authorization, encryption, and secrets management into solution designs.

• Apply industry security standards and secure coding practices.

• Support compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Engineering Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering Managers to support engineering delivery.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to estimate complexity and define implementation roadmaps.

• Participate in backlog refinement and technical planning activities.

• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Architecture Governance

• Establish architecture principles, standards, and design guidelines.

• Conduct architecture reviews and technical design reviews.

• Ensure consistency across products and engineering teams.

• Drive technical debt management and modernization initiatives.

Generative AI & AI-Ready Architecture

• Design integration patterns for Generative AI and LLM capabilities across products, including Azure OpenAI Service, Copilot Studio, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

• Establish governance standards and guardrails for the responsible, secure, and compliant adoption of AI across the platform.

• Evaluate Generative AI and AI/ML platform components and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.

• Define AI-ready application and data architectures that support LLM integration, vector search, and semantic retrieval patterns.

• Use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate architecture documentation, ADR production, and design artefact creation.

• Stay current with Azure AI platform capabilities and guide teams on their effective and responsible adoption.

What you bring

Experience

• BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Solution Architecture or Technical Architecture.

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale applications using Microsoft technologies.

• Strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture and modern application design.

• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and modern application design.

• Experience designing solutions using:

• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-204, AZ-400).

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.

• Experience with SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and cloud-native modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) and their role in accelerating architecture and delivery workflows.

• Experience designing solutions within a medical device, hearing aid, or regulated healthcare environment is a strong advantage. Familiarity with regulated software architecture requirements — including software classification, design documentation, and requirements traceability — will be highly valued.

• Understanding of ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems and how QMS obligations influence architecture decisions — including audit trail design, data integrity controls, electronic records management, and alignment with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 or EU MDR 2017/745 for regulatory submissions.

• Awareness of risk management principles under ISO 14971 and their architectural implications, including hazard identification, risk mitigation through system design, and residual risk documentation for software components in safety-critical medical applications.
