Solution Consultant-Insurance Software

DXC Technology is a leading provider of software and services to the global insurance industry. We are seeking an experienced Solutions Consultant to join our growing Insurance Software business, supporting clients across the UK and Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an insurance industry professional who combines deep market knowledge with strong consulting, solution design and stakeholder engagement skills. Working at the intersection of Sales, Product, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in helping insurers, brokers and reinsurers solve complex business challenges through innovative technology solutions.

As a trusted advisor, you will lead customer engagements, shape winning solutions, influence strategic technology decisions and support the growth of DXC's market-leading insurance software portfolio.

The Role

You will work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand their business challenges, strategic objectives and technology requirements, translating these into compelling solution designs that demonstrate the value of DXC's Insurance Software portfolio.

Working alongside Sales, Product, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery teams, you will lead discovery workshops, shape solution strategies, support complex sales opportunities and provide expert guidance throughout the customer journey. You will also contribute to product innovation by bringing valuable market insight and customer feedback into the wider business.

This role requires someone who can comfortably operate at both a business and technical level, connecting customer challenges with technology solutions while communicating complex concepts in a clear, engaging and commercially focused manner.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with Sales teams to identify, qualify and shape new business opportunities across the insurance market.

• Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business objectives, operational challenges and technology requirements.

• Translate customer needs into compelling, value-led solution strategies and high-level solution designs.

• Support and lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, proposals and proof-of-concept engagements.

• Deliver impactful demonstrations, presentations and executive briefings.

• Develop high-level solution architectures incorporating DXC solutions, third-party technologies, integrations and customer ecosystems.

• Define integration approaches, data flows, dependencies, assumptions and implementation considerations.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate business, operational and technology challenges.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Architecture teams to influence future product development and innovation.

• Contribute to marketing activities, thought leadership, customer success stories and industry events.

• Work with Delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales through to successful implementation.

• Support the development of reusable solution assets, propositions and industry best practices.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will bring strong insurance industry experience combined with excellent consulting and communication skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience within the Commercial & Specialty Insurance, London Market, Broker or Reinsurance sectors.

• Experience working within an Insurance Software business, InsurTech organisation, consultancy or technology provider serving the insurance market.

• Previous experience in a Solutions Consultant, Solution Architect, Technical Pre-Sales, Consulting or Business Analysis role.

• Deep understanding of insurance business processes, operational workflows and technology ecosystems.

• Ability to lead customer discovery workshops and translate complex business requirements into solution designs.

• Excellent presentation, communication and storytelling skills.

• Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders, including C-suite executives.

• Experience creating solution proposals, high-level architectures and supporting documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Commercial awareness with the ability to align technology solutions to customer outcomes and business value.

• Experience supporting complex software sales cycles and strategic transformation opportunities.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and modern software architecture principles.

• Experience supporting insurance transformation, platform modernisation or digital initiatives.

• Understanding of APIs, integration technologies, data migration and enterprise software environments.

• Experience developing thought leadership content and representing organisations at industry events.

• Familiarity with DXC Insurance Software solutions or comparable insurance platforms.
