Solutions Architect — AI-Powered Developer Tooling

About your role:

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of internal platforms and tools that use AI to reduce human effort across the software lifecycle — building, testing, managing, and operating software. You will define the technical vision, set architectural standards, and guide engineering teams from concept through production, ensuring every solution is scalable, secure, and compliant with the demands of financial services.

This is a hands-on architecture role: you are expected to be a power user of AI tooling in your own work, prototype where needed. You bridge business stakeholders, security and compliance functions, and engineering teams to turn an AI productivity vision into a coherent, well-governed system.

What you'll do:

• Own the end-to-end architecture — from data and model layers through APIs, orchestration, integration, and delivery — for AI-powered developer tooling and agentic platforms.
• Define the technical vision, reference architectures, and standards that engineering teams build against; make and document key design decisions (ADRs).
• Design agentic and LLM-based systems: model selection, retrieval (RAG), tool/function calling, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Architect for non-functional requirements — scalability, latency, cost, resilience, observability — and for the security, privacy, and auditability required in a regulated financial environment.
• Lead platform-integration decisions; evaluate AI models, frameworks, and vendors.
• Guide and mentor engineers, review designs and code, and ensure implementation stays true to the intended architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, security, compliance, and infrastructure to align the architecture with organizational goals and constraints.
• Use AI tooling hands-on to prototype, validate patterns, and set the standard for how teams should apply AI day to day.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Technical Lead capacity.
• Proven ownership and successful delivery of end-to-end system architecture in production environments, spanning data, application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
• Strong experience designing and implementing AI/LLM-powered solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, orchestration, tool calling, model selection, evaluation frameworks, and AI guardrails.
• Hands-on practitioner with AI development tools, coding assistants, and agent frameworks, with expertise in prompt engineering and context management.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native and distributed systems architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices-based applications using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a strong grasp of API-first and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Demonstrated track record of applying AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in real-world systems, supported by production deployments, projects, portfolio work, or other practical examples.
