Role Overview
The Sourcing Manager – Nutraceuticals will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, strategic sourcing, and procurement activities to ensure an uninterrupted supply of high-quality raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials for the Nutraceutical business. The role requires strong negotiation skills, market intelligence, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for nutraceutical ingredients, APIs, excipients, extracts, and packaging materials.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements to secure optimal value for the Company.
- Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with production plans and business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Company procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality consistency.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of purchase orders, contracts, pricing agreements, and vendor communications.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify cost-saving and alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Work closely with Quality, R&D, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure smooth material qualification and approvals.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of nutraceutical raw materials and supply markets
- Understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in the nutraceutical industry
- Ability to manage multiple vendors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and cost-optimization mindset
