Autism Support Teacher – Self-Contained Program | Illinois Full-Time | 8:30 AM–3:40 PM | Self-Contained Classroom | Approx. 10 Students | Primarily Autism Support Clarifi Staffing Solutions is connecting an experienced Special Education Teacher with an Illinois school district seeking support for a self-contained classroom. This position serves approximately 10 students, with the majority of learners diagnosed with autism, including some students with significant support needs. The role is well suited for an educator who is confident working in a structured setting and knows how to balance individualized instruction with consistent classroom routines. Your Impact You will provide specially designed instruction aligned with student IEPs, adjust lessons and classroom activities to address individual learning needs, and use effective behavioral and classroom management techniques to encourage participation and progress. The role also involves monitoring student development, maintaining educational records, contributing to IEP meetings, and working closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related-service professionals to provide coordinated student support. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field. Active Illinois PEL with the appropriate Special Education endorsement. Strong communication, organization, adaptability, and classroom leadership skills. Experience working with students with autism and higher support needs preferred.
