Location: Pune

Dreamtime Learning is afor n innovative education organization focused on personalized, learner-centric education. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Educator to support learners with diverse learning and developmental needs at our Pune Learning Hub.

Role Overview

The Special Educator will work closely with learners, teachers, parents, and the school leadership team to identify individual learning needs and provide personalized academic, behavioural, and developmental support.
The ideal candidate should be patient, empathetic, observant, and passionate about helping every learner achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Assessment & Support

  • Identify students who require additional learning or developmental support.
  • Conduct basic academic and learning-needs assessments.
  • Understand individual strengths, challenges, and learning styles.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions as required.
  • Monitor students' academic, behavioural, social, and developmental progress.

3. Classroom & Teacher Collaboration

  • Work closely with class teachers to support learners in the mainstream classroom.

  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

4. Parent Coordination

  • Regularly communicate with parents regarding student progress.
  • Share observations, intervention plans, and progress updates.
  • Provide practical suggestions to parents for supporting learning at home.
  • Participate in parent meetings when required.

5. Documentation & Progress Tracking

  • Maintain student profiles, assessment records, IEPs, intervention plans, and progress reports.
  • Track student outcomes and modify interventions based on progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Prepare periodic reports for the school leadership team.

6. Behavioural & Social Development

  • Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social-learning needs.
  • Implement positive and appropriate behaviour-support strategies.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.

Required Qualifications
