09/20Provo City is looking for a part-time Recreation Lead to work with the Special Events team at the Provo Recreation Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Special Events Coordinator in preparing for, marketing, and managing the various activities and events provided by the Recreation Center to the public. What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour

What qualifications do I need to apply?
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Any experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the work.

What is the schedule?
Monday through Saturday. Flexible hours to work around your schedule. Event days are required. Required dates will be discused during the interview. 15 hours per week.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This position requires office work and outdoor recreation work with sun and some adverse weather exposure. May include exposure to high-stress situations or environments , including contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances. Requires the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on September 21, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
