We are looking for a commercially minded and relationship-focused Business Development Specialist to help grow our Xylem Water Solutions (WSS) business. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful partnerships, creating new opportunities, and making a positive impact across the water industry.

Working across sectors including Mining, Industrial, Power Generation and Municipal, you will collaborate with customers, consultants and industry partners to help position Xylem as a trusted leader in sustainable water solutions.

About the role

This role is centred on building connections, understanding customer needs, and identifying opportunities to support growth across your market segment.

You will work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing and the broader business to strengthen customer relationships, share market insights, and contribute to strategic initiatives across WA, NT and SA.

Skills and Experience

We welcome people who bring curiosity, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in building trusted, long-term customer relationships.

You might have gained your experience in business development, sales, consulting, engineering, operations or another customer-focused role. Experience across mining, water, infrastructure or industrial markets would be valuable, but we’re also open to hearing from people with transferable skills and relevant sector exposure.

Experience or strengths in some of the following areas would be highly regarded:

  • Building and nurturing customer relationships within mining, resources, engineering, infrastructure or industrial environments
  • Engaging with a range of stakeholders and helping bring people together around shared goals
