Speech and Language Therapist

TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Temporary Speech and Language Therapist in Tipperary.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a temporary basis, providing specialized care to older adults in a rehabilitation setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in elderly patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address identified disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care and optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate and provide guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and swallowing function.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and progress reports.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices for older person rehabilitation.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in rehabilitation techniques and strategies for older persons.
• Familiarity with common age-related conditions affecting speech and language.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Current registration with a relevant professional body, CORU
• Experience working with older adults with communication and swallowing needs (desirable)
• Be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
