Most of your visits will be in Hathorne, Lynnefield, Middleton, Peabody, Andover, Topsfield, Boxford, Hamilton, Wentham, Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Concord, Lawrence, Lexington, Lincoln, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington, Winchester, Woburn.

You’ll work with a diverse patient population and provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services where patients live every day.

�� A schedule that works for you: Part-time (32-hours), 4-5 visits per day, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday-Friday with no evenings, weekends or holidays with the autonomy to manage your own schedule and appointments while providing care to patients in their homes.
• Ancillary support services: Scheduling coordinators, liaisons, and other support services help with the administrative and coordination needs of care, allowing you to spend more time focused on your patients.

Your schedule includes dedicated time for documentation, chart review, care coordination, and treatment planning. Our MGB electronic documentation system gives you easy access to medical records, doctors’ notes, orders, and other clinical information, helping make communication and care coordination more seamless.

• Real-time alert features
• Security-supported key fob access

What you’ll do
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled therapy, and work closely with patients, families, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team.
• Complete comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide skilled speech-language and swallowing therapy in the home
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations
• Assess and address communication, cognition, and swallowing needs
• Make recommendations for appropriate compensatory strategies, adaptive techniques, and equipment as indicated
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to initiate and support transition to outpatient services as appropriate
• Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and care coordination activities
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective, patient-centered care
• Deliver high-quality care that helps patients maximize their independence and quality of life

 

What you’ll bring

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• Current Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Two year’s experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Speech Therapist
• Comfort working with various computer systems; experience with handheld clinical devices preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
• Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and remain self-directed in unpredictable situations
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Willingness to travel within the MGB Healthcare at Home geographic area
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and electronic
