What you'll do
- Own and grow a pipeline of IVA/AI expansion opportunities sourced from PayNearMe's existing client base
- Consistently meet or exceed quota; this is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role
- Identify white space within current accounts where IVA and AI capabilities solve a real client problem
- Run the full sales cycle — discovery, technical scoping, proposal, negotiation, close — for IVA and AI opportunities
- Translate technical AI/IVA capabilities into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build compelling, consultative pitches that go beyond feature-selling into how automation changes a client's cost structure and customer experience
- Partner daily with Client Services (CSMs and account owners) to identify expansion signals and coordinate a seamless client experience
- Work closely with Product and Solution Engineering to stay current on IVA/AI roadmap and represent client feedback back into product direction
- Loop in Marketing and Enablement to help build the messaging and assets for a motion that's still being defined
- Operate comfortably in ambiguity — this role, the motion, and the messaging will evolve as you help build them
- Stay current on AI and conversational automation trends in payments and adjacent industries
- Bring a builder's mindset: flag what's working, what isn't, and help shape the playbook for whoever comes after you
What they're looking for
- 4+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or payments
- Genuine comfort with technical concepts — you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to hold your own in a conversation about AI, automation, or IVA architecture and get more fluent over time
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong relationship-builder — comfortable working within accounts that already have an existing PayNearMe relationship and other stakeholders (CSMs, account owners) in the room
- Highly driven and self-directed; excited by ambiguity rather than needing a fully-built playbook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to flex between technical and business audiences
- Curiosity about AI and where it's heading — this role will only get more technical over time
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, remote-first environment

At PayNearMe, we’re on a mission to make paying and getting paid as simple as possible. We build innovative technology that transforms the way businesses and their customers experience payments. Our industry-leading platform, PayXM™, is the first of its kind—designed to manage the entire payment experience from start to finish. Today, thousands of businesses across consumer lending, iGaming and online sports betting, property management, and tolling trust PayNearMe to deliver a payment experience that drives real results.
In September 2025, we raised a $50 million Series E funding round to accelerate our growth.
We’re a team of 300+ employees across 41 states, headquartered in Silicon Valley with satellite offices in Dallas, TX and Holmdel, NJ.
Join us and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of payments—one experience at a time.
We're looking for a high-performing Account Executive to pioneer a new kind of sales motion at PayNearMe: selling our IVA (Intelligent Virtual Agent) and AI-powered payment capabilities into our existing Client Services book of business. This is not a traditional net-new logo role — you'll be partnering closely with our Client Services team to identify, position, and close IVA opportunities within accounts we already serve, making you as much a trusted advisor and technical translator as a closer.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, AI/automation, and client relationship management. You'll need the full sales toolkit — pipeline discipline, negotiation, deal strategy — plus genuine technical fluency in how IVA and AI-driven payment experiences actually work, so you can speak credibly to increasingly sophisticated buyers. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help define a brand-new motion, not execute a playbook that already exists.

- Loop in Marketing and Enablement to help build the messaging and assets for a motion that's still being defined
