  • Provide end-to-end brokerage operations support from trade execution and book-out through allocation, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Manage the account opening process in partnership with Client Integration, Compliance, Sales Trading, and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of required steps.
  • Maintain client static data, including confirmation setup, commission rates across markets, sub-account configuration, booking preferences, and client settlement instructions.
  • Review documentation and account activity for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory expectations.
  • Book out and allocate equity, fixed income and option transactions to the appropriate client accounts, ensuring timely confirmation through Central Trade Manager or manual confirmation workflows.
  • Monitor market-side and client-side trade matching and settlement, identify exceptions, resolve mismatches, and work with clients, execution brokers, and internal teams to support high settlement performance.
  • Apply commercial awareness to settlement risk, including high-value trades, sensitive clients, debit-interest exposure, and time-critical market requirements.
  • Support daily reconciliation and position management to ensure agency brokerage accounts are flat of position and profit/loss at end of day, with any error positions documented and handled in accordance with regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Analyze complex issues using multiple sources of information, identify practical solutions, and escalate matters appropriately when risk, client impact, or business impact is identified.
  • Contribute to process improvement, operational efficiency, and control enhancements across the team, including support for large, complex, or cross-functional projects.
  • Partner with colleagues across related teams to support service delivery, strengthen team dynamics, and promote consistent execution of brokerage operations standards.

Salary Range:

$67,500 - 111,500 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
