What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Japan employees through outsourced payroll vendors.
  • Review and validate payroll calculations from outsourced payroll vendors, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, allowances, leave records, and overtime payments.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule in compliance with Japan Labor Standards Act, Income Tax Act, Local Tax Act / Bylaws, Social Insurance regulations, and company policies.
  • Work with payroll vendor and Finance on statutory filings and payments, including income tax withholding, resident tax, social insurance, labor insurance, and year-end tax adjustment
  • Maintain payroll documentation, audit trails, and records in accordance with company policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits and provide payroll-related documentation as required.
  • Provide payroll support for additional countries within the APAC region as the scope of the role expands.

JOB SUMMARY

To Land This Role:

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE
