Amazon is committed to building a sustainable future for our customers, local communities, and the planet. Under The Climate Pledge, we committed to achieving net-zero carbon across our business by 2040, ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement. To get there, we need driven people who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact through sustainable energy technologies and scalable infrastructure design.

Key job responsibilities
• Own and develop electrical equipment standards, including standard designs for core electrical infrastructure in partnership with manufacturers and internal stakeholders
• Perform design validation and review to ensure compliance with established electrical standards during installation and commissioning of infrastructure
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) for LV and HV (up to 24kV) electrical systems
• Align stakeholder expectations and define technical requirements for EV charging network infrastructure and smart grid deployments
• Drive the technology roadmap for electrical infrastructure, including EV chargers, substations, energy efficiency solutions, and IoT technologies (e.g. smart metres)
• Develop business cases and present recommendations to leadership to secure approval for programme scoping and investment decisions
• Coordinate with programme managers to ensure quality and standards compliance across large-scale installations
• Drive process improvement across commissioning, audit, value engineering, and cost control activities

A day in the life
Your day could include engagement with all levels of the organisation and multiple stakeholder groups to drive short-, mid-, and long-term technical decisions with large-scale impact across the Amazon network. You will also work with partners from Operations, Reliability & Maintenance, Health and Safety, Global Fleet Product, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors to design and deploy electrical infrastructure across Amazon’s operational sites in Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in technical program and product management, technical development or related roles in the industrial EV charging solutions sector
- Proficiency in one or more European languages (in addition to English)
- Experience working with public grid operators or Distribution System Operators (DSOs)
- Working knowledge of national grid codes and DSO requirements in one or more EU/UK markets
- Experience with protection coordination, fault level analysis, or power systems modelling
- Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration
