Job Description Summary:

Fortinet EMEA Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong interest in cybersecurity to join its Software Engineering team. As a senior member of a six-person team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of sophisticated application modules supporting our network security infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, test, and document complex full-stack application modules in alignment with cybersecurity requirements and business objectives

• Assess and evaluate new application ideas, translating requirements into actionable implementation plans

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions

• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce quality standards through unit testing, integration testing, and adherence to best practices

• Identify, analyse, and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and technical debt within existing applications

Skills and Attributes Requirements:

•  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach

•  Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and engineering best practices

•  Advanced proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

•  Strong proficiency in a back-end scripting and development languages: Python, Perl

•  Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and web services

•  Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines

•  Solid understanding of application security principles; knowledge of cybersecurity concepts is a strong asset

•  Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly

•  Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Educational and Experience Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

•  Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a demonstrable track record of delivering production-grade web applications

•  Proven experience in a senior or lead technical role, including mentoring of junior team members

•  Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken); French is considered an asset
