What You Will Work On

You will serve as a senior process leader within inventory accounting, owning complex accounting activities and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Your work will include leading month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and performing advanced analytical reviews to identify trends, anomalies, and risks impacting inventory balances.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and automation initiatives, applying advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Excel capabilities to streamline workflows and improve data quality. You will lead cross-functional efforts, support audits, and translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that inform business decisions. While you do not manage people directly, your influence, expertise, and project leadership will shape how inventory accounting processes operate at scale.

Who You Will Work With

You will work closely with partners across Inventory Accounting, General Accounting, Finance, and Operations to align on inventory-related financial activity and reporting. You will serve as a key liaison with auditors and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance across financial processes.

You will also collaborate with system and data partners to support enhancements, automation, and reporting improvements. Success in this role depends on strong communication, credibility, and the ability to drive alignment and outcomes through influence and technical leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

  • Master’s degree or CPA license strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and financial controls

  • Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and complex financial analysis

  • Retail inventory accounting experience preferred

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including complex formulas and automation tools

  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive process improvements

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed

Work Style and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work well under pressure while meeting time-sensitive deadlines

  • Willingness to support business needs outside of normal business hours when required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

  • Regular in-office attendance is required

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

  • Ability to adhere to company policies and professional standards
