SR. IT WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEER
SpaceX is looking for an experienced wireless network engineer with a strong background in designing, deploying and managing wireless networks in an enterprise environment. This employee will be a member of the Network Engineering team, which is responsible for managing SpaceX’s wireless networks across all sites. This network supports the designing, manufacturing and launching of rockets, spacecraft, satellites as well as human space flight. The position will be heavily focused on designing, building and troubleshooting wireless networks. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, able to document work, excel at multi-tasking and enjoy a fast-paced high-tech environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline and 5+ of years professional network engineering experience; OR 7+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Expert understanding of wireless/RF technologies.
- Experience with CBRS deployments.
- Hands on experience with the following:
- Cisco wireless LAN controllers or other wireless technologies.
- Cisco DNA Center.
- Ekahau wireless products.
- Network monitoring tools.
- Network documentation.
- Linux/Windows system administration.
- Industry standard certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work extended hours, nights and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral.
- Physical effort including standing, lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials (up to 25 lbs unassisted) or equipment.
- Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain.
- Work occasionally performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
- Ability to work at elevated heights and/or tight spaces.
- Ability to travel as required to common destinations including Hawthorne, CA; McGregor, TX; Vandenberg, CA; Cape Canaveral, FL.
