What this role is all about


The Sr. Manager, Revenue Development, New Hotels supports assigned onboarding hotels by consulting on revenue generation, commercial execution, and business readiness before and after opening. Working with hotel sales and operations leadership, above-property management, and ownership, this role activates sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue development best practices that accelerate topline revenue growth, strengthen owner confidence, and support faster hotel performance stabilization.

What you’ll be doing

Achieves revenue development objectives by:

  • Conducting new hotel market assessments and capturing business intelligence to identify prioritized sales opportunities across channels.
  • Coaching property-level teams on sales strategies, brand programs, and revenue opportunities, translating guidance into actionable tactics that support measurable business impact.
  • Deploying tactical sales plans and activating revenue-generating tools.
  • Serving as a primary contact before and immediately after conversion, partnering with the Onboarding team to optimize support models, and conducting regular cadence calls with assigned hotels to support performance.
  • Leveraging Sonesta brand tools and resources to support revenue development and performance growth.
  • Keeping Sonesta revenue generation teams informed of new hotel market attributes, business drivers, and prioritized revenue opportunities.
  • Accelerating marketing and distribution levers and optimizing internal processes that support early performance gains.
  • Effectively package insights, tactics, and status to internal Leadership stakeholders
  • Periodically assesses assigned priority hotel markets and tactics for revenue improvement opportunities, as assigned.

Travel Requirement

Up to 40% travel including some international travel, is required. The role must be able to travel to multiple hotel locations by car or air and work at locations outside the office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experienced. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Seven or more years of professional multi-unit hotel and/or above-property experience in sales operations, revenue generation, distribution, and/or commercial operations leadership required. Hotel pre-opening, conversion, and branded franchise hotel experience required.
  • Exceptional communicator. Understands the audience and communicates clearly in an environment that requires influence without direct control. Direct, action-oriented, and able to align stakeholders around shared objectives with a sense of urgency.
  • Technically proficient. Proficient in MS Office, Agency360, STR, and Delphi required. Experience with Kalibri, GDS, IDeaS, Duetto, MeetingPackage, Tableau, Power BI, and/or Opera preferred.
  • Organized. Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, manage deadlines, and multi-task across disciplines and time zones. Comfortable using multiple communication channels, including email, telephone, virtual meetings, and Teams.
  • Process management. Proven ability to drive process and projects with demonstrated success coordinating technical, distribution, revenue, sales, marketing and operational activations for new hotels. Able to manage multiple dependencies, track critical milestones and ensure on-time execution across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Growth mindset. Adaptable to changing business needs and priorities, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Resourceful. Collaborative and cross-functional, with demonstrated ability to identify efficient ways to accomplish work, remove barriers, and socialize best practices with stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented. Proven track record of driving change, removing barriers, and delivering measurable outcomes in fast-growth organizations.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Pay Range: $95,000 to $105,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
