Sr. Specialist, Treasury Operations

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Prepare the daily cash disposition (including prior day reconciliation) for all bank accounts 
• Serve as a treasury subject matter expert, providing recommendations related to cash management, liquidity optimization, banking structures, and treasury operational best practices. 
• Support SAP treasury workstation utilization, including coordinating with IT teams in the United States, Germany, and Czech Republic on system enhancements and production incidents 
• Analyze and mitigate current FX exposures by preparing and submitting accurate FX spot deal orders to buy or sell foreign currencies 
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to treasury operations, controls, cash management processes, and supporting documentation. 
• Approve and release manual payments via bank software 
• Resolve payment issues with banking partners or relevant IT teams to ensure payments settle with determined value date 
• Support bank account management processes and help maintain compliance with applicable policies and procedures 
• Engage with key business areas to gather inputs and support accurate forecasting of cash inflows and outflows 
• Provide analysis and insights to support liquidity planning activities led by the Sr. Director, Treasury 
• Manage and administer Scout's corporate charge card program, including program governance, reporting, policy compliance, and user support. 
• Prepare regular liquidity and forecast reporting for review by the Sr. Director, Treasury and Finance leadership 
• Support treasury governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, including documentation, tracking, and follow-up activities 
• Coordinate with internal and external legal teams on documentation and information requests related to ISDA negotiations for Scout Motors Inc. 
• Partner with Scout Accounting and Volkswagen Group teams on hedge accounting activities and related treasury processes. 

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. 
• This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. 
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
• Occasional business travel (mostly domestic, occasionally international) to other locations will be required.

• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics 
• Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash management, liquidity planning, foreign exchange, bank account management, and treasury controls. 
• 8+ years' experience in corporate treasury or banking 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, banking partners, and external advisors 
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with sound judgment and professionalism 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support practical solutions to technical and business challenges 
• Experience creating and developing, maintaining, and leveraging Power BI dashboards and reports to analyze data and support business decision-making 
• Working knowledge of treasury workstations, with respect to cash management and payments 
• Proficiency with modern technology tools and automation concepts, such as macros, scripting, or workflow optimization

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
