About this role

Role Overview
NETGEAR is seeking a technically skilled and customer-centric Systems Engineer to support our Enterprise and IT customers. This role focuses on delivering technical leadership during the sales cycle and beyond, ensuring successful deployments of wired and wireless enterprise networking solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor with deep knowledge in Wi-Fi, LAN switching, cloud networking, and Zero Trust security. You will also play a key role in relaying customer feedback to influence product strategy and innovation, while working closely with MSPs, VARs, and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with account teams, MSPs, VARs, and channel partners to deliver pre-sales technical consultation, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts tailored to enterprise customer needs.

  • Lead the architecture and deployment of enterprise-grade Wi-Fi, switching, routing, security, and cloud networking solutions.

  • Present technical content to diverse audiences, including IT stakeholders, MSPs, VARs, and internal teams.

  • Act as the technical bridge between customers, partners, and NETGEAR Support, ensuring smooth post-sales transitions, managing escalations, and maintaining a consistent customer experience.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering, analysing, and communicating technical feedback and feature requests to Product Management.

  • Design and support secure networking environments leveraging Zero Trust principles, including user/device segmentation, role-based access, and secure onboarding.

  • Promote and support the adoption of cloud-managed networking platforms, enabling scalable multi-site management with capabilities such as zero-touch provisioning, real-time alerts, firmware lifecycle management, and network analytics.

  • Conduct detailed RF planning and wireless network design using tools such as Ekahau or similar.

  • Enable and support NETGEAR’s channel ecosystem (MSPs, VARs, distributors) through technical training, solution guidance, and joint customer engagements.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and the evolving enterprise IT landscape.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or a similar technical customer-facing role.

  • Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 wireless networking technologies

  • Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, routing, QoS, and enterprise security practices

  • Cloud-managed networking (Netgear Insight or competitive solutions)

  • Zero Trust security concepts including identity-based access and micro-segmentation

  • Strong troubleshooting and solution development skills across both wireless and wired networks.

  • Experience using RF design tools (e.g., Ekahau, Hamina, etc).

  • Experience supporting or working with channel partners, MSPs, and mid-market enterprise customers.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to influence and build trust with both technical and business audiences.

  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.

  • A team player with a passion for customer success and product excellence.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Fluent French and English required

Preferred Qualifications
