Senior Tax Associate

Summary of Position:

The Senior Tax Associate will work closely with the team members, managers, and tax directors in the preparation of, and research and planning for, federal and state, corporate and partnership tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and the Corporate tax provision.  This role will provide the opportunity to leverage technology and AI tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic planning, and assist with company-wide transformation efforts.  Additionally, this position will gain tax research and planning experience working on various tax projects and assist with IRS and state audit defense.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred, not required.
  • One to four years of federal and state income tax compliance experience obtained in a public accounting or corporate environment. 

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Senior Tax Associate to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hands on, detail oriented individual, strong tax compliance and problem-solving skills, including account reconciliation and analysis of book/tax differences.  Strong work-ethic and sense of responsibility.  
  • Self-motivated.  Value-added focus.  Proactive and efficient. Team player that works well with others. 
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint required), tax research software, and tax compliance software.  Experience with Corptax, Alteryx, Power BI, and AI applications a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual attendance.
