Responsibilities:

Provides housekeeping services, including light and heavy cleaning, in the Hospital and Medical Center facilities. May use commercial-type equipment including vacuums, scrubbing machines, strippers, waxers and buffers. Requires the ability to understand and carry out oral instructions. Stands, walks, bends and reaches continuously. Handles heavy and medium-weight material, equipment and supplies. Is normally exposed to refuse, dirt, dust, detergents, body wastes and odors indoors and outdoors. Candidates must be available for rotating shifts, and every other weekend and holiday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires ability to understand and carry out oral instructions. Stands, walks, bends and reaches continuously. Handles heavy and medium-weight material, equipment and supplies. Is normally exposed to refuse, dirt, dust, detergents, body wastes and odors indoors and outdoors; occasionally exposed to the possibility of contacts with infection and infectious diseases.
