What you'll do
- Prepare lower-level requirements, design strategies and pseudocode from ADA-supplied higher-level requirements, and raise inconsistencies before lifecycle work proceeds.
- Code to the design and to the coding standards issued by ADA, adhering to the change-control process defined in the Software Configuration Management Plan.
- Develop and integrate interface modules — discrete and analog input, discrete output, frequency input, processor memory, interface (timers, interrupts, 1553B / RS-422 / RS-232 protocol handling) and the flashing module.
- Handle packing and unpacking of data in MIL-STD-1553B format and process data using algorithms supplied by ADA.
- Read and write memory devices — RAM, NVRAM, DPRAM, RTRAM — perform processor configuration and inter-processor communication.
- Optimise submitted code and take time measurements of modules; real-time code must be timed and optimised before it is submitted for configuration.
What they're looking for
- Ada 95 / Ada 2012 and Embedded C on MPC 5777C Power Architecture and MC 68332
- low-level driver and interface module development
- MIL-STD-1553B, RS-422, RS-232
- DO-178B Level-A / Level-C lifecycle artefacts
Nice to have
- Assembly language for MPC 5777C / 68332
- DOD-STD-2167A
- Green Hills AdaMULTI, GNAT, Visual Studio, QT, Eclipse, Tornado
- MATLAB / Simulink
- VxWorks and bare-board

Requirements
Required Skills
Ada 95 / Ada 2012 and Embedded C on MPC 5777C Power Architecture and MC 68332; low-level driver and interface module development; MIL-STD-1553B, RS-422, RS-232; DO-178B Level-A / Level-C lifecycle artefacts
KRAs
— LLR, design and code delivered to the milestone plan, with nil slippage attributable to the individual. — Code submitted for configuration is peer-reviewed with completed checklists and passes the coding-standard compliance report clean. — Real-time modules timed and optimised before submission; no performance rework raised after configuration. — Impact analysis and code-change reports produced for every build. — Defects isolated and fixed within the milestone in which they are raised; review feedback fully absorbed before the next milestone starts. — Lifecycle documents for the assigned modules complete and accepted by ADA.
