About this role

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a User Experience Researcher (UXR), you make this possible. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to gather insights and create industry-leading products.

You’ll play a critical role in helping your team understand user needs and will drive impact at all stages of product development, ensuring products are useful, usable, and helpful. You will explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research, including: field studies, interviews, diary studies, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. You will also grow within a supportive UXR community offering mentorship, regular meetups, and exclusive internal tools.

As part of Lens on the Multimodal Search team, we're evolving Search to enable users to ask anything in any way. As Search goes through a deeper AI evolution with AI Mode and other emergent capabilities, it's critical to ensure the Multimodal Search product experience is intuitive, seamless, and helpful. In this role, you will influence and steer the product strategy to a more multimodal, AI-forward experience, with a specific focus on Multimodal AI quality and model improvements anchored on real user needs. You will also guide our product evolution towards a collaborative, more personalized, and multimodal-forward AI shopping experience.

In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
