Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Battery Modeling Engineer to advance development of Form’s iron-air battery. As part of our Battery Modeling team, you will build physics-based models and agentic workflows, as well as collaborate with Battery Engineering and R&D teams to deploy the model to inform decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:

• Identify and lead impactful projects to advance battery performance, leveraging multiphysics modeling

• Identify conceptual gaps which may gate battery progress, and solve them by aligning physics-based models with data

• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver data to best inform multiphysics model progress

• Lean into AI tools to enhance throughput - build and optimize AI agents for partnering in physics discovery, model validation, or reduce ordering of the model

• Support engineering and R&D efforts throughout Form by providing model-based tools to inform product design, controls strategies, and technical decisions

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in multiphysics modeling of electrochemical systems (academic, industry, or combined)

• Experience at the intersection of battery modeling and AI agentic workflows is a plus

• PhD degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• Proven collaborative track record and well-established technical communication skills
