A Staff Tech, Security will be responsible for administering, interpreting, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government agency directives.

 

**This is an onsite position in Cedar Rapids, IA**

What You Will Do

• Coordinating, initiating, and maintaining personnel security clearances in DISS, eQIP, and SIMS. 
• Collecting fingerprints and uploading them into the government database.
• Verifying clearance and briefing status for requests to access secure workspaces.
• Process incoming and outgoing domestic and foreign visit requests.
• Submit Adverse Information Reports to the government.
• Tracking and Reporting Foreign Travel of cleared employees.
• Facilitate classified meetings.
• Coordinate initial and annual Security training, Insider Threat Briefings, special briefings, and other annual training as necessary.
• Provide professional support and proactive customer service to coworkers, internal customers, and external customers daily.
• Operate in accordance with corporate policies and practices.
• Comply with accepted business ethics.

Qualifications You Must Have:

 

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. US Citizenship is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong customer service experience required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite, Google for Business).

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
