About this role
Job Purpose :
We are seeking an energetic and experienced State Head to drive residential rooftop solar sales under the PM Surya
Ghar Yojana through a robust network of Channel Partners and System Integrators. This role is critical in expanding
market reach, building partner capabilities, and ensuring on-ground implementation of government-subsidized solar
systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel Partner Development & Management
- Identify, onboard, and develop Channel Partners, EPC contractors, and System Integrators in target
- geographies.
- Conduct partner training on PM Surya Ghar Yojana, subsidy processes and system design basics.
- Set partner performance expectations and support them in lead generation, sales closures, and
documentation.
2. Business Growth through Partner Network
- Drive residential solar adoption by enabling partners to reach households in urban, semi-urban, and rural
areas.
- Work with partners to plan outreach campaigns, awareness drives, and community-level programs.
- Monitor and help increase the number of subsidy applications and system installations.
3. Compliance with PM Surya Ghar Yojana
- Ensure all partner operations align with MNRE guidelines, subsidy eligibility, and portal requirements.
- Guide partners in submitting documents on pmsuryaghar.gov.in and securing approvals from DISCOMs.
- Ensure timely customer onboarding, meter installations, and commissioning for subsidy disbursement.
4. Sales Performance & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as partner-wise sales numbers, application conversions, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain CRM data for leads, pipeline, installations, and subsidy claims.
- Provide regular performance updates and improvement plans to management.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate with internal technical, finance, and operations teams to support partner requirements.
- Facilitate technical training, marketing support, and after-sales assistance for partners.
- Liaise with DISCOMs and nodal agencies for approvals, technical clarifications, and grievance handling.
Skills & Qualification:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the solar rooftop sector, especially in B2C sales.
- In-depth knowledge of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, government subsidies, and solar policy landscape.
- Strong understanding of solar rooftop kits – including panels, inverters, net metering, and balance of systems (BoS).
- Proven track record in channel sales development and target achievement.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- B.E./B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical / Energy) preferred.
- MBA in Marketing/Sales is an added advantage.
- Certifications in Renewable Energy or Solar Photovoltaics will be a plus.
