About this role

About LAP (Life Among People) We're on a mission to make the specialty coffee experience more affordable, digital, and convenient. In a world where services continue to move online, LAP is bringing back the human touch, paired with the personalization and convenience that modern consumers expect from digital businesses.

We are a small but mighty team serving coffee out of our stores in six German cities, and we are expanding quickly. We are currently looking for a Store Manager in Frankfurt to work directly with our Leadership Team.

The Role: As a Store Manager at LAP Coffee, you will be instrumental to the success of our brand in Frankfurt, where we aim to become the largest name in coffee. If you are looking to join an ambitious startup at an exciting time and want a role with immense ownership, impact, and visibility, this is the place for you.

What You Will Do: You will own the day-to-day success of one LAP store. You will lead the team, organize shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and keep operations running smoothly. When needed, you will jump behind the counter, support the team during rushes, and drive strong sales and an incredible customer experience—all while boosting business growth and profitability.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Guide baristas to achieve company goals while upholding our cultural standards. Support and cultivate a cohesive team, inspiring them to grow into future General Managers.

  • Operational Excellence & Store Performance: Maintain elite operating standards. Monitor key store metrics, plan shifts effectively, keep your team aligned, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Health, Safety & Quality: Maintain strict health and safety standards. Ensure products are handled correctly to preserve the freshness and quality of our food and beverages.

  • Performance Tracking: Accurately track and report daily KPIs, inventory counts, and commissary supply transfers for your location.

  • Waste Reduction: Implement and sustain systems to minimize product waste by monitoring and adjusting inventory par levels in line with business fluctuations.

  • Customer Growth & Community Engagement: Collaborate with the Brand and Marketing teams to execute strategies that grow a loyal customer base. Build meaningful relationships with neighborhood businesses and residents to foster local brand loyalty.

  • Training Adherence: Master and apply product, service, and brand training playbooks to maintain absolute consistency.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality or retail F&B, with a strong track record in team scaling, inventory, and supply chain management. (Coffee industry experience is a massive plus!)

  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial, solution-focused, and adaptable to fast-paced, startup environments.

  • Skillset: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills under pressure. Proven ability to spot growth opportunities, test ideas, and execute within tight budgets.

  • Language: Fluent in English and German.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally for new opportunities.

What We Offer:

  • Ambitious Team: Work closely with our experienced leadership to build and scale an innovative lifestyle consumer coffee brand.

  • Fun & Passion: Become part of a curious and diverse team that cherishes a joint love for good food, regular team events, and coffee culture.

  • Exciting Industry: Be at the forefront of revolutionizing the coffee industry, making specialty coffee affordable and accessible.

  • Strong Backing: Join a promising startup early on with the security and support of leading investors.
