Street Works Inspector – HALTED

We are currently recruiting for a Street Works Inspector in Warrington. Pay rate: £17.07 per hour. Hours:  Full time (37 hours plus out of hours as agreed). Contract duration: Temporary ongoing Purpose:

• Undertake onsite inspections and activities associated with the maintenance and management of highway assets including but not exclusively roads, footways, drainage in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Highways Act and Traffic Management Act.
• Ensure the highway assets are maintained fit for purpose within resources allocated.
• Inspecting and supervising any activities proposed on the highway to ensure the assets are protected including enforcement of activities under appropriate legislation and including issuing of permits for activities, events and road works.

Essential Experience: 

• Corresponding with members of the public, Council Members, MP’s and other stakeholders.
• Inspecting the highway and associated assets to appropriate standards and legislation.
• Serving enforcement notices in accordance with the Highways Act.
• Inspecting and supervising statutory undertakers work on the highway.
• Inspecting the highway in accordance with the New Roads and Street works Act (TMA) and serving appropriate notices and challenges as required.
