Job Description

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Michigan.

The Student Support Advisor Substitute (contractor) is responsible for increasing student and Learning Coach engagement within the school to drive improved academic growth. The role is committed to providing consistent support throughout the student experience.  The Advisor builds meaningful relationships with students and families, identifies barriers to participation, and provides individualized support through the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

This is a contractor position. Fulltime working 40 hours per week.
Start Date: The assignment is from November 2, 2026- June 4, 2027.

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

Minimum REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  

  • Two (2) years of college AND   

  • Two (2) years of experience in education OR  

  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience   

  • Ability to pass required background check. 

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 

  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities. 

  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Web proficiency. 

  • Familiarity with the online learning experience. 

  • An ability to learn new technology tools quickly (ex. database and web-based tools). 

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Four (4) years of college education. 

  • Experience working with the proposed age group. 

  • Experience supporting adults and children in learning and the use of technology. 

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
